Log Cabin
Log Cabin is thought to have originated in the Celtic countries. It was a common pattern in both Ireland and the Isle of Man. |

Ohio Star
Patchwork has hundreds of star designs and probably the most popular of these is the Ohio Star. The design is made from one central square, surrounded by eight triangular points. |

Rail Fence
This traditional design follows balance and unity and offers an overall pleasing effect |

Celtic Quilt
Celtic art has been around for centuries, beginning its journey in Ireland in the fifth century. The designs tend to be quite elaborate and are still very popular today.
The design I offer is one of my favourites and displays a selection of knotwork. |

Nine Patch
Another all time favourite. Nine Patch as it suggests, is made up from nine smaller blocks to form one larger block.
In my first nine patch (a) I have used a selection of reproduction civil war fabrics to create an antique effect feeling to the quilt.
The second design (b) has a much fresher feel to it, by using a selection of light blues and cream to produce a Parisian country feel. |
